Born in San Diego, California, Dania Lajuana Matthews Scott is an African American female veteran and the visionary founder of DermInnovate Labs LLC, a biotechnology dermatology research and development company headquartered in Carlsbad, CA.
Dania founded DermInnovate Labs with a deeply personal mission — to advance safe, ethical, and innovative skincare research inspired by her four-year-old daughter’s journey with chronic eczema. What began as a mother’s search for a solution has evolved into a cutting-edge skin science initiative aimed at restoring health, confidence, and longevity for people worldwide.
Science with Purpose
Under her leadership, DermInnovate Labs is pioneering new frontiers in skin barrier repair, microbiome restoration, and AI-driven dermatological formulation.
